알루미늄 저압 다이캐스팅

Low pressure die casting is a process we use for large, complex and thin-walled aluminum parts. Due to the characteristics of low-pressure die-casting, the liquid material will be more gentle during the filling process at a lower pressure, reducing the generation of pores and air bubbles. The lower pressure and gentle filling process can reduce the loss of the mold and can Fill larger mold cavities in one shot, producing larger parts.

Advantages

  • cheaper cost: Compared with high-pressure die-casting, equipment and tooling costs for low-pressure die-casting are cheaper.bigger component production: Low-pressure die casting may create simpler, bigger parts. The process is capable of handling thicker wall thicknesses and is suitable for components with complex shapes and high cavity requirements.
  • Low-pressure die-casting may offer excellent dimensional precision and forming consistency to assure the manufacturing of aluminum alloy components that adhere to the design specifications.
  • Reduce porosity and flaws: Due to the reduced pressure, low-pressure die casting may reduce the production of porosity and faults, enhancing the quality of aluminum alloy components.

Low pressure die casting process steps

  1. Mold preparation: According to our low-pressure die-casting requirements, custom-design the low-pressure die-casting molds we need.
  2. Material preparation: choose suitable aluminum alloy materials, and choose different types of aluminum alloy materials according to the application of die castings
  3. Heating and melting aluminum alloy: melting aluminum alloy into a liquid state
  4. Mold preparation and injection: Place the preheated metal mold on the table of the low pressure die casting machine. Open the mold and preheat it to the proper temperature. The molten aluminum alloy is poured into the preheated mold.
  5. Apply Low Pressure: Close the mold and apply low pressure, usually between 10 and 100 psi (pound force per square inch). The low pressure helps the aluminum alloy to fill the mold cavity and form the desired part shape.
  6. Cooling and solidification: Keep the mold cool under low pressure to ensure complete solidification of aluminum alloy parts. Cooling time depends on the thickness and size of the part.
  7. Mold opening and removal: When the aluminum alloy part is completely cooled and solidified, the mold is opened and removed from the mold.
  8. Trim and post-processing: Trim the removed aluminum alloy parts to remove possible burrs or residues. Carry out further surface treatment, spraying, polishing or other post-treatment processes as required.

In actual application, our company may make some adjustments and optimizations according to the specific product requirements and equipment performance of customers. To ensure the most suitable process steps for low pressure die casting.
